It’s estimated that sharks have inhabited the ocean for more than 455 million years. With over 500 different species, many of which are under serious threat, we must gain a better understanding of not only the species as a whole but also the vast variations between them.
 
This illustration is part of ‘The Skulls Project’, a long-term collaborative education and outreach project that helps spread awareness about a lesser known part of science: shark anatomy. By showcasing individual species in this way, we hope to spread awareness about their complex and fascinating structures which make them one of the most unique and highly adapted species on our planet.
 
Each print supports Bimini Shark Lab with 10% of profits donated directly towards their invaluable work and contribution to shark conservation.
